This past weekend I had the privilege of photographing Lauren for her Rock The Dress session. Lauren and her husband, Nick, were just married two weeks ago here in Jacksonville. It’s always fun to have a bride get back in her dress and wear it for another day where the pressures of the wedding day aren’t a factor in the photos she gets of herself in her wedding dress.

We met in downtown Jacksonville and walked around taking pictures in some of the great nitty gritty places our city has to offer. One of my favorite spots was the alley behind on the Florida Theatre. I love urban type of sessions where you can put someone beautiful in amongst a mess. Lauren brought one of her girlfriends, Kate, to help. She was a huge help! Typical of Florida’s weather, we got rained out at the end and made it back to the parking garage in time for it to pour. Good old unpredictable weather. Even the weather channel said there was no rain in the forecast as it was raining… Awesome.

Lauren-I had such a great time getting to know you and photographing your rock the dress session! We will definitely have to get together for dinner in the near future!

This evening I had the privilege of shooting a rock the dress session for Lauren in downtown Jacksonville. I never knew downtown had such nitty gritty beauty… Maybe it’s because I never took the time to explore it, but tonight, I did! I’ll do a full blog post later, but here’s a sneak peak from her session. She totally rocked her dress!

About a week ago, I announced I was offering 5 free Rock The Dress sessions. As the inquiries poured in, I knew I had my work cut out for me. One of my the 5 is Dolly from Ft. Lauderdale. I happened to find out as I was passing through Ft. Lauderdale on my way to Miami, that she lived in Ft. Lauderdale. I was on my way to see my brother, his wife and daughter in Bay Harbour Island. I was so excited that Dolly was able to do the shoot so last minute, but we agreed on Friday to have the shoot on Saturday evening at Oleta River State Park!

As Saturday evening was rolling around, the weather was looking like it wasn’t going to cooperate. We crossed our fingers and toes and sure enough the rain held out for us for most of the shoot. You can see the clouds in what I’ve deemed the “epic” photos below! haha!

Dolly showed up with her friends Allison and Nerline, who were sooo awesome and helpful! They were such a fun group of girls to get to do this with! Dolly looked gorgeous rocking her dress again! Dolly married her husband, Otniel, 13 years ago, as of last Monday and was so excited to be able to do this shoot! She looked fabulously beautiful!

I just love the below series. I gave them a slightly blurred/grainy effect to give them a more fine art feel. I just LOVE them!

For a limited time I am giving away 5 free Rock The Dress sessions. The first five to book will get the Rock The Dress Session for free and includes a DVD of images. For additional items such as prints, albums, gallery wraps, etc, those will be available at our current pricing. These sessions are for women who want to wear their wedding dress one more time to get some great images of just her in her dress that maybe she didn’t get on her special day.
