The JRB Foundation is a foundation based in Jacksonville, FL that helps to fund no kill-shelters, no-kill rescues, therapy/service animal training, and service animal vests.
I believe everyone has more than one passion. One of my passions in for helping animals. If I could, I would take all of the unwanted or homeless animals in the world and bring them to live with me on a farm where they will get all of the love and attention they deserve, but I know that’s not realistic. It hurts me to no end to see animals euthanized because they are a number. Every animal deserves a loving home. You never know what an animal is capable of being, if they only had a chance. I also have a passion for therapy animals and personally have an Alaskan Malamute I am training to become a therapy dog. Riley is CGC Certified and working towards becoming Therapy Dog Certified. He deserves to be happy and he deserves to help get sick children’s mind off of being sick. I love what I do. I know I was put here for a reason and together, we can make a difference in our communities with animals.
What we’ve done to date
- We’ve partnered with The Jacksonville Humane Society, a no-kill shelter, to help in any way we can.
- We choose an animal who is older and has been at the shelter for awhile, usually less likely to be adopted, and we feature them on our blog until they are adopted out.
- We sponsor the adoption fee for the featured adoptable dog on our blog, which stays on our blog until they are adopted. We also keep a running list of the animals we have featured in the past with their adoption dates. To view that list, click here, or go to “About” and “Featured Animal Adoptions.”
- When we choose a new dog to feature, we go to their facility and take a few professional photographs of the animal, then provide a nice photo presentation box with 4×6 prints of the dog as well as a thank you card.
- We also frequently donate our photography services to events such as First Coast No More Homeless Pets’ Art Unleashed event.

- Purchase anything from my fine art print collection and 30% of the proceeds will be donated to The JRB Foundation.
- Purchase a pet portrait session and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to The JRB Foundation.
- Purchase prints or canvases from your pet portrait session and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to The JRB Foundation.
- If you book your wedding with Jen Shannon Photography, 10% of your collection price will be donated to The JRB Foundation.
